LifeSTAR is a three phased treatment program for pornography and sexually addictive behavior. It is designed for adult heterosexual men/women and their wives/husbands to find healing and recovery through education, skill building and emotional awareness. The program provides the foundation for understanding addiction, what its root causes are, why it's difficult to overcome, and how to begin recovery through honesty, emotional balance, and using tools to create a healthy lifestyle. Spouses also learn their own path to recovery through understanding the roots of their own emotions, how their path is affecting them day to day and how they can begin to feel empowered to keep themselves healthy and balanced.
The program is successful for several reasons: * Workbook materials and tasks that participants utilize to progress in recovery are regularly updated to reflect most current research. * Collaboration between therapists. * Provides both individual and group therapy sessions by trained therapists.
